About the Author:
Dr. N.V.S.Raju
, is a BE graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad, Telangana and PG Dip. Industrial Relations and Personal Management also from the same university. He has got two Post Graduate degrees, one from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad in M.Tech. (PE & M) and the second is from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad in MBA (Marketing). He is an active life member of professional bodies such as ISTE and ORSI.       He has been awarded Ph.D. in Mechanical Engg from OU, in the year 2005 for the research in Reliability Centered Maintenance of Heavy Earth Moving Machinery, SCCL Ramagundam, Telangana. He has served in industry for about 10 years and more than 20 years as academician.       He is presently serving the student community as Professor of Mechanical Engineering, JNTUH College of Engineering, Jagitial, Nachupally-Kodagattu, Kodimial Mandal, Jagitial dist. Telangana. He is the former Vice Principal of the institute and Head of the Department and now the Coordinator for Entrepreneurship Development Cell.       He authored more than 20 books with the titles –Operations Research, Instrumentation, Disaster Management, Optimization Methods for Engineers, Plant Maintenance and Reliability Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management, Total Quality Management, Quality Management & Six Sigma, Reliability Centered Maintenance Models for Mining Machinery, Statistical Analysis & Inferences in Reliability-Availability-Maintainability.         He has more than 100 National and International publications to his credit and 5 Doctorates have been awarded under his supervision. A Project guided by him bagged Silver Medal in the year 1999 by Institute of Engineers (India) and ISTE. He received Gold Medal for his paper, 'Make in India-Issues and Challenges' at 3rd International Conference and 57th Convention of IIIE, India and SVP-NIT, Surat, Gujarat, India. In 2011 he is the recipient of the prestigious awards Shiksha Rattan Puraskar, Bharathjyothi, from IIFS, New Delhi, Glory of India Gold Medal from IISA, Vishishta Seva Puraskar by JNTUH and The Best Citizen of India Award from India Publishing House, New Delhi.
